Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
